Radcliffe Memories

Recently a friend of mine moved into the neighborhood in Tempe where I grew up. He now lives right around the corner from our house on Radcliffe. He told me that the occupants moved out so I took the opportunity to visit and see if my hand prints were still in the concrete by the driveway, and sure enough they were! During a walk with his dog Sparky he so kindly took a picture for me. This had to have been Spring circa 1977, since the question mark represents my younger sister Carrie who was not born yet.

Thanks Michael!

Easter

We went to the Annual Queen Creek Easter Egg Hunt with Lauren. Fortunately, they do the egg hunt by age so Lauren was able to somewhat enjoy her first egg hunt.

Cancun

As many of you know Dan and I love to travel. So when our best friends Levi and Heather told us they were going to Cancun to celebrate their 10 year anniversary we jumped at the chance. Here are some pictures from our trip.

This is the view from our room...completely amazing.

The service there was great and every evening after a tough day at the pool we would come back to our room to a towel animal.

All Levi wanted to do on the trip was to go scuba diving. We missed our opportunity when we went to Hawaii so this time he was deterimined to make it happen. I wasn't too excited about it but I went anyway because let's be honest I didn't want to miss out on anything. Here is a picture of the dive shop.

We didn't do a whole bunch then sit by the water and enjoy all the amenities an all-inclusive has to offer. We did take a day trip to tour one of the myan ruins Chitzen itza.

Trying to take a picture of the group with the timer on the camera...Dan was a little late in running over.

This is the view coming out of the lobby.

We had a great time and are already planning what trip to take next.

Daddy feeding time.

This is what happens when Daddy feeds Lo.

I think that says it all.

ASU or UA?

Daniel and I have had a heated debate since we have been together, ASU vs. UA. Unfortunately our poor child will forever be between the two of us until she goes to college then at that time she will probably choose NAU for her own sanity. Because of the convenience factor Lauren has more ASU paraphernalia than UA. Here is the beginning of a war...poor child.

Lauren's First Christmas

We had an enjoyable Christmas. Dan's parents came up to celebrate the holiday. We had a nice Christmas Eve dinner, steak flambe and french fries, I even brought out the china! On Christmas day we had Jenni, Shane, Heather, Eric, Papa Berkey and Grandma Berkey over. We had a great time spending Lauren's first Christmas with everyone.

Lauren loved the lights she spent many evenings beneath the tree.

Lauren in her reindeer outfit, a must have for baby's first christmas. We bought it more for us then for her.

Christmas morning.

Christmas morning with Daddy.

She was tired after all the festivities.

Lauren's First Christmas Program

I know it's been awhile since I posted (5 months?) soory. But I want to get back on track and update everyone on what has been going on since mid-December. Christmas came in a whirlwind. Lauren's daycare put on a Chirstmas program which we attended. The idea was to bring the "Butterfly"classroom out on a crib decorated like Santa's Sleigh. The idea was cute but they weren't able to execute it, babies can be very unpredictable. This is Miss Cynthia with Lauren, she is one of our favorites and she loves LoLo.
